Ayurveda holds that the heart is the center of consciousness, alluding to its physiological relationship to all aspects of emotion, including stress. It noted mental strain creates physical strain and at the intersection of both is the heart. Ayurveda describes plants that can nourish and strengthen both emotional and physical centers to reduce strain on both mind and body. HeartCare® includes Holy Basil and Arjuna, both considered rejuvenating adaptogens known to promote blood pressure already within normal range and bestow a peaceful mind.*
As with all supplements, botanical plants are analyzed for an upper limit of what would be considered safe to consume in a day. For those people who regularly ingest more than 20 g of Licorice per day, AND have a known sensitivity to this plant, they may experience an increase in blood pressure. HeartCare contains only a very few milligrams of Licorice, an amount known for its benefits as part of this comprehensive, synergistic formula. HeartCare is supported by a number of double-blind placebo controlled clinical trials ensuring the safety and efficacy of this product.
The directions to say to take it with meals. What if I don’t have time for a meal? Can I still take it?
Yes. We always prefer you follow our label instructions, but if you have to occasionally take it without a meal, it will still be safe and effective.
We can only recommend the dose on the bottle, which is our clinically-studied effective dose. Taking more or less of an herbal supplement than recommended should be discussed with your health care provider.
Can I take this product along with my prescription medication or my other supplements? Can I combine them? Will there be side effects?
Our product has not been studied alongside or against your prescription medication or alongside other supplements. We would be unable to answer that question. Please make sure your health care provider is aware of all the herbal supplements you are taking.
Regulations enacted by the United States Food and Drug Administration say that sellers of dietary supplements can’t make any claims about their products that suggest the treatment, diagnosis, prevention, or mitigation of disease. This is called the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA) of 1994. Because your question suggests you are trying to treat a condition and find relief from symptoms, any answer to that regard would fall outside of the legal boundaries that regulate our industry. What we can say is that our products are formulated to support the normal function of organ systems and are rigorously studied for purity, safety and efficacy.
We don’t recommend any herbal product, ours or anyone else’s, to pregnant or nursing moms. If you’re pregnant or nursing, any supplement you take should first be cleared with your health care provider.
