Summary

Himalaya Herbal Healthcare is seeking a highly driven Key Account Manager to activate strategic plans for growth on the Amazon platform. The brand has experienced substantial growth in the platform and will look to you to execute against the strategic plan, optimize the approach to further accelerate growth and identify opportunities for future growth.
 
In this role, you will bring your Amazon specific sales management experience to bear and assume strategic oversight and tactical leadership of a fast growth brand, growing in several dynamic consumer categories. The proper candidate will have the experience and confidence to work independently in high exposure situations with limited oversight. To be successful you must demonstrate a desire to be a critical player on a must win team.
 
The Key Account Manager – Amazon will join a winning Sales and Marketing Organization and will have executional ownership of Himalaya’s growth strategy for Supplements, Oral Care and Personal Care in the Seller and Vendor Central Portals for North America. The proper candidate must be able to provide channel level thought leadership to the sales and marketing functions and establish and scale operational excellence for tactical execution across functions. Demonstrated experience with Amazon specific marketing teams and analytics is required to be successful in this position.

You will establish the Key Account Manager - Amazon function under the leadership of the Director of Sales E-commerce in a fast growth, highly dynamic season and be a catalyst for the future direction of the business.
 
The successful candidate will possess a proven background of success growing consumer products within the Amazon platform. Proper candidates will have the analytical skills to be hands on in the analysis of business performance and creating actional insights. You must have the demonstrated ability to use analytics to solve business problems and the communication skills necessary to translate analytics into strategic initiatives. You will work in intense collaboration with the marketing, analytics and creative teams to deliver on corporate objectives.
 
The Key Account Manager – Amazon will report to Director of Sales E-Commerce.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive strategic oversight/guidance for Amazon marketplace account, both Vendor & Seller Central.
  • Responsible for product listing optimization, item set up and identifying and evaluating new opportunities for product listing optimization.
  • Works with Brand team to develop immersive content for product pages and regularly update to reflect changes in product strategy, consumer dynamics and best practices.
  • Works with marketing to develop and execute advertising campaigns, setting objectives and goals, working collaboratively to create content, track results and adjust plans to respond to analytics.
  • Accountable for marketing expense management and optimization and delivering on volume plans.
  • Supports new product launches and product launch promotions.
  • Leads keyword research for new and existing products via close coordination with the Brand Managers.
  • Develops reports to analyze marketing and sales performance, providing executive summaries, recommends sales KPIs and creates actionable insights.
  • Performs competitive product analysis, identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising.
  • Stays on top of marketplace patterns, trends and tools and champions a strategic Amazon growth strategy for the organization accordingly.
  • Regularly meets with and reports to senior leadership and cross functional teams. Communicates complex emerging retail dynamics to leadership to gain buy-in.

Competencies

  • Amazon Account Management experience in a CPG environment is required
  • Experience working with a multi-disciplinary Amazon support team and an understanding of how to efficiently take products to market on the platform is required
  • A history of Amazon specific customer contact in a sales setting is required
  • Demonstrated success launching new products in the Amazon platform
  • Experience defending plans and making the case for resources with data
  • Ability to maintain excellence and be highly effective working with a remote team and having only periodic in-person contact with leadership
  • Ability to work with ambiguity, navigate and add value to business situations and organizational challenges with no existing process or solution
  • Ability to manage projects, develop timelines, articulate critical paths and deliver outcomes on time.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated customer-centric mindset
  • A bias for action and the ability to chart a course vs. follow one

Required Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of Amazon specific account management for consumer products is required
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field required
  • Deep, tactical knowledge of the Amazon marketplace
  • Consistent record of posting strong results in an Amazon sales role
  • A progression of Amazon specific experience sales experience
  • Working knowledge of PPC bid management and AMS
  • Experience managing inventory for Amazon
  • Experience using Stackline data
  • Significant analytical and critical thinking skills with experience analyzing data & translating it into action
  • Experience managing across functions to support growth on the Amazon platform
  • Demonstrated success in challenging and ambiguous business situations
  • Experience defending plans and making the case for resources with data
  • Ability to maintain excellence and be highly effective working with a remote team and having only periodic in-person contact with leadership
  • Ability to work with ambiguity, navigate and add value to business situations and organizational challenges with no existing process or solution
  • Highly collaborative and capable of receiving direction from peers and leaders across functions
  • Willingness to travel regularly to headquarters in Sugarland, TX, attend trade shows and support customer meetings
  • Computer skills including MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Expert level Excel and above average power point skills are required to be effective in this role
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to discern priorities without supervision
  • Strong attention to detail balanced with a sense of urgency and a commitment to excellence
  • Demonstrated excellent written and communication skills
  • Examples of prior experience and written work will be requested, along with references

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience with at least 3 in Amazon specific management function.
