Position/Title: Purchasing & Operation Manager

Reports To: VP of Supply Chain & Operation

Summary

Purchasing Manager will be responsible for purchasing, demand planning, inventory planning, forecasting, S&OP process, logistics, order management and warehouse operations.

Duties  
Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive strategies that align with the company's business goals and growth objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand.
  • Inventory Management: Manage an inventory tracking system to minimize stockouts and excess inventory. Implement best practices for demand forecasting, replenishment, and stock rotation.
  • Logistics and Distribution: Oversee the distribution process, including transportation, warehousing, and fulfillment. Streamline logistics operations to optimize lead times and reduce shipping costs.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation. Continuously assess and enhance operations processes to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Risk Management: Mitigate potential disruptions by assessing and managing risks related to demand volatility, supplier issues, geopolitical factors, and other external influences.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics tools and software to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive improvements.
  • Ability to direct and manage the activities a warehouse manager, logistic coordinator and inventory planner.
  • Work with our suppliers to expedite, track and manage the supply chain flow.
  • Manage the inventory flow from third party warehouse to the Himalaya warehouse.

Required
Qualifications

  • Must have strong Demand planning experience with international suppliers a plus.
  • This is an onsite position to support the team. Experience working with both D2C and B2B
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in Purchasing, Logistics and Distribution is required, preferably within the e-commerce industry.
  • Experience with ERP Demand Planning is a MUST, SAP experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge with Microsoft Office products and advanced Excel skills needed.
  • Strong communication, organization & attention to detail.
  • BS degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration (preferred)
  • Supplement or personal care experience preferred.
