Digital Shelf & Experience Manager
Position/Title: Digital Shelf & Experience Manager
Department: Director of Growth Marketing
Job Classification: Exempt
Job Type: Full Time, Remote
Overview
Himalaya is a science-backed wellness company with nearly a century of expertise rooted in nature. We are seeking a Digital Shelf & Experience Manager to own how our products show up, get found — in search and increasingly in AI answers — and convert across Amazon, our DTC site, and other marketplaces (Target, Walmart, TikTok Shop, iHerb and others) in the United States and Canada.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role sitting at the intersection of Brand, Ecommerce, and Creative. This role will collaborate closely with our brand teams to write product copy, work with our design team to produce ecommerce assets, and build and merchandise online storefronts, product pages, and A+ content. This is also a results-oriented role, with a significant emphasis on running tests, owning reporting, and having a strong POV on where our digital shelf should go next and what is worth building.
Duties and Responsibilities
Omnichannel Product Content & Launches
- Translate commercial priorities into launch roadmaps and actionable briefs, including work prioritization based on revenue impact, what assets must communicate, which claim language assets can carry, and the competitive landscape.
- Own the process of developing and publishing product content for both new and existing products, end to end, across Amazon, DTC, TikTok Shop, and other marketplaces.
- Write all product copy including titles, bullets, descriptions, backend search terms, and A+ / Brand Store copy yourself, in collaboration with the Brand and Regulatory teams.
- Project manage the in-house design team on omnichannel product content needs — image stacks, A+ modules, storefront assets, listing videos, and the graphics behind every launch and promotion — writing briefs, setting priorities, and holding timelines.
- Build and launch A+ modules and storefront content directly in platform.
- Utilize syndicated data platforms (PIM/DAM) to ensure accurate and complete product information is uploaded and syncing to every channel.
- Manage manual product data handovers in cases where specialty channels may not have syndication capabilities.
- Run recurring content audits across the catalog to identify and fill gaps and test into new opportunities.
Ecommerce Merchandising & Promo Planning
- Own the DTC promo calendar and ongoing merchandising — defining offers, curating collections, managing site navigation and on-site search, and defining cross-sell offers and subscription presentation — in collaboration with the Brand and Growth Marketing teams.
- Manage products, offers, collections, fields, product metadata, homepage featured content, and landing pages hands-on within Shopify.
- Project manage the in-house design team and web development agency on any creative and technical needs as required.
- Work closely with the Ecommerce and Growth Marketing teams to define and execute support plans for tentpole events on Amazon, TikTok Shop, and other marketplaces (Prime Day, Black Friday, etc.).
- Build event storefront pages, refresh product content and imagery, and merchandise deal products accordingly.
Testing, Reporting & Performance
- Own end-to-end reporting on content performance across channels — share of search, AI answer share of voice, traffic, conversion, listing health, review quality, and the return on optimization work. Publish on a set cadence, present it to Brand and Ecommerce, and be accountable for the numbers rather than only the reporting of them.
- Own how our products get found — in traditional search, and increasingly in the AI answer engines shoppers now ask instead of searching (SEO / AEO / GEO).
- Operate an SEO and AI-visibility platform (Semrush, Profound or equivalent) on a standing rhythm, tracking share of voice, position, sentiment, and which sources AI answers cite.
- Flag competitive movement and emerging inaccurate or negative third-party sources early, before they erode our position or how we are described.
- Utilize findings to optimize copy and content across all channels, flagging gaps and opportunities proactively so we can move quickly.
- Run a structured testing roadmap across imagery, copy, module order, and offers; report honestly on what won and what we learned from the tests that failed; and scale what works across the portfolio.
- Operate as a Claude power user — building reusable skills, agents, and workflows for content production, quality control, and reporting rather than prompting one asset at a time. Build the automations yourself, and help set the standard for how the wider team works with AI.
Qualifications
- 4+ years in ecommerce, digital shelf, marketplace content, or DTC merchandising, ideally at a CPG, wellness, beauty, or personal care brand with a medium-to-large product portfolio.
- Hands-on Amazon experience: writing listings and backend keywords, building A+ Content and Brand Stores, and making merchandising decisions that moved conversion. Multi-retailer experience (Walmart, Target) is a plus.
- Hands-on Shopify merchandising experience: managing products, collections, offers, and other content.
- A strong copywriter and keyword builder who produces the work in-platform, and who can brief and direct designers to get the right asset the first time.
- Command of discoverability: SEO fundamentals plus genuine fluency with AEO and GEO. You do not need to arrive an expert, but you should be keen to build, test, and measure our approach.
- High use and familiarity with AI tools (Claude or equivalent). Experience building agents, skills, or automations is a strong plus.
- Analytical, self-directed, and a strong project manager. Familiarity with PXM / syndication platforms (e.g., Pattern, Salsify, Syndigo), digital shelf analytics, AI-visibility platforms, and TikTok Shop storefront setup is a plus.
- Experience and a personal interest in supplements, the natural products industry, or personal care is a significant advantage to candidates.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive base salary and bonus, commensurate with experience.
- Company benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability & 401(k).
