Summary
Himalaya Wellness USA is seeking a Director of E‑Commerce – Americas to lead and scale our digital commerce business across Amazon, Shopify, Walmart.com, TikTok Shop, and other online marketplaces and direct‑to‑consumer platforms in the United States and Canada. In addition, this role will be responsible for identifying and leading new opportunities in Central and Latin American marketplaces, ensuring Himalaya establishes a strong foundation for future growth in the region.
This senior leadership role carries full responsibility for developing strategy, leading execution, and building high‑performing teams to accelerate Himalaya’s presence across Americas region. You will set the vision and direction for our e‑commerce channels and assume strategic ownership of sales, marketing, and operations for Amazon (Vendor & Seller Central), Walmart.com, TikTok Shop, our branded e‑commerce site, and additional marketplaces across the U.S., Canada, and emerging markets in Latin America. You will also spearhead digital marketing initiatives across TikTok Shop, Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, and DTC channels to ensure Himalaya’s brand is consistently visible, competitive, and growing market share.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Champion a culture of AI-driven decision making, ensuring data and automation are embedded into e-commerce strategy and daily execution.
- Identify, pilot, and scale emerging AI technologies for inventory forecasting, media
optimization, personalization, and customer engagement across e-commerce platforms. - Leverage AI-powered analytics, advertising, and automation tools (e.g., Perpetua,
Pacvue, Stackline, Amazon Marketing Cloud) to optimize campaigns, improve ROI, and generate actionable insights. - Own the North America e‑commerce P&L across Amazon, Shopify DTC, Walmart.com, TikTok Shop, and other marketplaces in the U.S. and Canada; deliver annual sales and profitability targets.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a high‑performing e‑commerce and digital marketing team covering sales, media, creative, operations, and analytics.
- Define long‑term e‑commerce and marketing strategy, aligning with corporate growth objectives; prioritize channel investments and resource allocation.
- Provide executive oversight for Amazon Vendor & Seller Central (U.S. & Canada),
Walmart.com (U.S. & Canada), and TikTok Shop strategy and execution. - Work with Lat. Am. e-commerce manager to identify, assess, and lead entry into Central and Latin American e‑commerce marketplaces, building roadmaps for expansion and growth.
- Drive digital shelf excellence: item set‑up, PDP/A+ optimization, Brand Store, SEO/keywords, and immersive content across all platforms.
- Oversee paid media strategy (Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, TikTok Ads, Meta, and Retail Media); manage budgets and ensure efficiency and ROI.
- Build Himalaya’s TikTok Shop presence and marketing playbook, integrating content creators, influencer partnerships, social commerce campaigns, and performance marketing.
- Partner with Supply Chain on inventory planning, AWD, 3P logistics, Walmart
DSV/Marketplace fulfillment models, ensuring high in‑stock and operational excellence across U.S., Canadian, and Latin American marketplaces. - Lead integrated new product launches across platforms with content, media, reviews, promotions, and operational readiness.
- Establish dashboards and KPIs for sales, traffic, conversion, profitability, inventory, and marketing efficiency; deliver actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Monitor competitive landscape, pricing, promotions, reviews, and share of voice; anticipate trends and execute counter strategies.
- Champion innovation in digital commerce and digital marketing by evaluating emerging platforms, tools, and partnerships.
- Represent Himalaya Wellness USA externally with key customers, agencies, and partners; internally act as a strategic thought leader and change agent for digital growth.
Competencies
- Proven success leading e‑commerce and digital marketing teams at the Director or
equivalent senior leadership level. - Deep expertise in Amazon (U.S. & Canada), Walmart.com (U.S. & Canada), TikTok Shop, and
familiarity with Latin American marketplaces. - Strong strategic mindset paired with operational discipline.
- Financial acumen with P&L ownership experience.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Data‑driven, skilled at building business cases and securing resources.
- Highly collaborative; adept at aligning cross‑functional teams and influencing senior
stakeholders. - Comfortable scaling processes in high‑growth, ambiguous environments.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of how AI can improve forecasting, inventory planning, and
consumer insights. - Proficiency with AI-enabled ad tech and analytics tools (Perpetua, Pacvue, AMC, etc.) to drive performance optimization.
- Demonstrated experience applying AI and machine learning platforms within ecommerce, retail media, or digital marketing.
- 10+ years of progressive e‑commerce leadership experience, with at least 5 years in
Amazon‑specific management and team leadership. - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Documented track record of delivering revenue and profit growth in e‑commerce.
- Expertise in Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, TikTok Ads/Shop marketing, PPC bid
management, and DSP. - Strong command of inventory planning and fulfillment operations (Vendor, Seller, AWD, Walmart DSV/Marketplace) in both U.S. and Canada; exposure to Latin American logistics preferred.
- Proficiency with data tools (e.g., Stackline, Helium10, Profitero, Pacvue, Perpetua).
- Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills for analytics and executive presentations.
- Experience managing agencies, cross‑functional teams, and executive stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel periodically both domestic and international, trade shows, customer meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in natural products, supplements, or personal care categories.
- Familiarity with e‑commerce ecosystems in Central and Latin America
