Reports to: Operations & Quality Manager

Summary

Reporting to the Operations Manager this position is responsible for inventory planning activities for the Americas region. This role is directly accountable for demand forecasting, production planning, inventory control and import/export compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities

United States:

  • Responsible for inventory planning, maintaining proper inventory levels while supporting customer demand.
  • Issue production orders with other Himalaya companies, manage order status and communicate production issues with management.
  • Responsible for import and tracking of replenishment shipments.
  • Track shipments from India to the United States, ensure customs and FDA clearance documentation and support is submitted in a timely manner, manage the delivery of these shipments to either a third party or to the Sugar Land warehouse, mitigate the cost of demurrage and per diem charges
  • Special and Ad-hoc Projects as required

LATAM, Caribbean and Canada:

  • Proactively consult with LATAM, Caribbean and Canadian distributors to determine accurate inventory levels.
  • Communicate Caribbean and LATAM production orders with the responsible production facility.
  • Follow-up on production status and give regular updates to LATAM and Caribbean team.
  • Responsible for logistic processes to ensure LATAM/Caribbean and Canadian customers receive product on-time.
  • Responsible to coordinate the export process including proper export compliance, shipment notification and billing.

FBA, Amazon

  • Manages the Amazon fulfillment process for USA and Canada
  • Monitors delivery status and troubleshoots late deliveries
  • Issues fulfillment orders to the ship floor to maintain inventory levels
  • Manages the Canadian distribution for both E-commerce and Amazon
  • Monitors inventory levels with Canadian distributor
  • SAP System Analysis o Maintains the purchasing functionality in SAP
  • Runs the MRP and updates order points and lead times
  • Actively converts requisitions to Purchase orders in a timely manner
  • Set up new suppliers and monitors performance
  • Performs monthly AR invoicing for Amazon and other large distributors
  • Reporting/Analysis o Supports the biweekly inventory meeting
  • Monitors expiring inventory and elevates decisions on disposition to sales
  • Identifies potential obsolete inventory where the MOQ could result in future obsolescence

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Logistic is preferred.
  • Master’s Degree or minimum 1-3 years of work experience is required.
  • Experience in Logistics and Distribution is required.
  • Knowledge of domestic and import/export logistic regulations.
  • Fluent in English. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
  • NetSuite, SAP or other ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge with Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong communication, organization & delegation skills.
